Veleka Rochelle Lee was born on September 27th, 1976, to Doris Lee of Novato, California & Abraham Edwards Sr. of Waukegan, Illinois. Veleka was a beautiful person who loved and cherished every one. She would always greet you with her contagious laugh & smile that could light up a room. Veleka always had the best intentions for everyone around her.

Veleka graduated from Marion Francis High School in Marion, Alabama. She attended Wallace College in Salem, Alabama. She was employed at Goodwill as a food server worker on the Great Lakes Naval Base.

Veleka accepted Christ at an early age, she lived her life deeply honoring God. Under the leadership of Pastor Paul Jones, Veleka became a member of Living Waters Church in Waukegan, Illinois. Veleka later joined the New Way Faith Tabernacle Church in Zion, Illinois under the leadership of Pastor Robert & Debbie Richardson.

Veleka leaves behind to cherish her memory, her Mother Doris Lee, and her Stepmother Annie Edwards. Her six brothers, Shawn Lee (Marcy) of Novato, California, Travis Lee of Waukegan, Illinois, Abraham Edwards Jr. (Stacy) of Gurnee, Illinois, Anthony (Karen) Edwards of Waukegan, Illinois, Xavier & Darius Longmire. Her two sisters, Patrica (Kevin) Adams of Zion, Illinois, and Angie Edwards of Zion, Illinois. Her children, Amanda Lee of North Chicago,  Illinois, Tamika Lee of Zion, Illinois, and Shamika Johnson of Zion, Illinois. Her children's Father, Desmond Ballentine of Waukegan, Illinois. Her Grandchildren Jataevon Lee, Isaiah Lee, Anaya Lee, Serenity Lee, Alexander Lee, Aaliyah Lee, and Stepdaughter CaMaree. Her Fiance, Ranny Tia. Special Uncle Fredrick & Judith Lee. A host of Uncles, Aunties, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Veleka is preceded in death by her Father Abraham Edward Sr., and Her Grandparents William S. Lee Sr., Leola (Ernest) Benjamin, Oliver Edwards Sr. & Minnie Edwards of Marion Alabama.
