Obituary

Thelma Sanders was born to Helen Reese and Alonzo Sharp in Deland, FL, on
November 13th, 1925.


She moved to the city of Evanston in 1944 with her first husband Willie Bryant II, and
began work cleaning homes, a profession she would hold until retiring in 2012.


She joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in 1960 and was a member of the
nurse's board for over 50 years.


She also spent many years as a member of the Evanston Suburbanites Club.


She leaves behind her daughter, Lisa Sanders, her son, Willie (Billy) Bryant III, her,
stepdaughter, Anna Burton, and her stepdaughter-in-law, Norma Sanders, and her
sister, Betsy Williams.  Her grandchildren, Robert Holmes, Lavoria Sanders-Byrd
(Robert Byrd), Briana Sanders, Santina Sanders, Printiss Bryant, Robert Sanders,
Dwayne Bryant, Dameon Sanders, Etherial Sanders (Jessica), Prince Sanders
(Marilyn), Terrance Sanders, Jeffrey Clark, Jaronn Watkins (Jayne), and Antonio
Sanders.  27 great grandchildren, nine great 2 grandchildren, and eight great 3
grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Sanders, her stepson Johnny
Sanders Jr., and step-granddaughter Tracey Sanders.


Thelma went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2024, in her home at the age of 98.
