Maritza Hudson , 85, of Evanston, IL, transitioned into eternity April 28, 2023. Maritza Hudson was born on Feb 18, 1938 to Fred and Sophronia Hudson in Evanston, Illinois. Maritza was a product of Evanston schools, including Foster and a graduate of the Evanston Township High School class of 1956. She went on from there to the University of Connecticut Hartford where she received a degree in music. Maritza enjoyed playing the flute and piano.

Maritza made her home in Warren, Mass., where she was an executive secretary at the Warren Company for many years where co-workers referred to her as "Mitzie".
Maritza loved taking long walks and praying with church members, family members, and friends. She had a passion for baking cookies for others. Maritza made an impact on so many people. She will be remembered for her joyful presence and bubbly personality, her love for the Lord, and one who effortlessly showed her love, kindness, and respect for anyone that she met. To know Maritza Hudson is to love her. We will miss her greatly.

Maritza was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Sorphonia Hudson. She is survived with loving memories by her older brother, Harris , (Roberta), of Evanston Illinois, her older sister, Sonja Hudson, (Foley), of Burbank California, her younger brother Franz Hudson, (Pansy), of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, two nephews, Franz Jr., Kenneth Foley, and one niece, Kathie Foley Meyer, and classmates and friends who remember her.
