Leroy Williams was born August 9, 1944, to the union of the late Daniel Williams and Harriet Williams in Starkville, Mississippi. After a lengthy illness, Leroy departed from this life while surrounded by the loving presence of his family on February 28, 2026.

Leroy, relocated to East St. Louis, IL at an early age. Then he relocated to Waukegan, IL where he was an Entrepreneur, Cook at City Lights and a Skilled Contractor.

Leroy dedicated his life to Christ at New Way Faith Tabernacle COGIC under the leadership of Sr. Robert Richards. He enjoyed family gatherings, taking care of his family, cracking jokes, and sous meat and cheese puffs.

Williams of Waukegan, IL; 1 Bonus brother: Bruce Steele of North Chicago, IL; 3 Sisters: Harriet Lowe of Madison, MS; Idonia Fox of Starkville, MS; Lula D. Humphrey of East St. Louis, IL; 23 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; 1 Special friend: Cynthia Nichols of North Chicago, IL; 1 Aunt: Dorothy Stovall Dayton, OH, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Daniel, and Harriet Williams; brothers: Alfred Petterson, Willie Williams, Curtis Williams, R.L Williams, Henry Williams, Wade Williams, Authur Williams, Bennie Williams Sr.; Sisters: Susie Vaughn and Rosia L. Thompson; Grandchildren: Darwin Williams, Keyera Williams, Beyuka Williams.
