Lank Hamilton Sr. was born on January 31, 1938, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Beatrice (Jarmon) Hamilton and Rev. Lee Hamilton Sr. He grew up in Forrest City and eventually moved to Illinois with a relative where he met his wife Pearl Lena Hamilton (Tate) and expanded their love to a family of six children. He worked for Railway Express as a mechanic for 15 years, he then transitioned to a similar profession at Robinson Bus Company where he succeeded for 20 years following his retirement. Throughout his life, Lank enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and enjoying time outdoors. He is also preceded in death by his mother and father, His wife Pearl Lena Hamilton, Five Sisters Bertha Hamilton, Essie Hamilton, Genotra Williams, Lillie Dawson, and Maxie Hamilton. One Brother, Jewery Hamilton.

His Son, Kevin Hamilton Sr. And, his Daughter Doris Rye. On August 6th, 2023, Lank transitioned from this earth, leaving behind his loving children his Two Sons, Quintin Hamilton Sr. and Lank Hamilton Jr. His Two Daughters, Jacinta and Kim Hamilton, and Daughter-in-law Charmaine Hamilton (Callion). One Sister Icyfene Golden. Two Brothers Rev. Ira V. Hamilton and Rev. Lee Hamilton Jr, One step brother Horace Hymes Jr. Followed by the legacy of his grand and great-grandchildren. Lank was a strong and devoted person to his family and friends. He enjoyed a laugh and making others laugh. His drive for a better life for his family, words of wisdom, and security is one that will last a lifetime. There's nothing more beautiful than a life fully lived.
