Julia Veronica Gray was the third child born to the late Melvin and Wille Mae Green. Born August 24, 1964, at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Julia was a product of Evanston Public School system attending Dewey, Nichols, and later graduating from Evanston Township High School She also attended Gramling State University.  She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age while attending Springfield Baptist Church with her family under the leadership of the late L. M. Geter.  She fell in love with and later married Rev. Leroy Gray in August 1989. She worked 26 years as an accounting supervisor for National Consolidation Services until her retirement in June 2020.

She is survived by her children, Gabriel (Unique) Gray, Leron (Monica) Gray and Lauryn Gray, her brother Derek Green, sister Jacqueline (Eddie) Reeves, aunts Bettye King, Shirley Ann Barnes and Uncle Joe Davis all of Bernice, LA. Her grandchildren Gabriel Gray, Gabriel Gray Jr (GJ) and Laden Galvez-Gray and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her presence will be sorely missed.
