Essie L McNeal was a beloved mother and doting grandmother. She touched and influenced the lives of countless people throughout the course of her extraordinary 77-year life.

Essie accepted Christ at an early age. Essie later became a member of St. Paul AME church in Philadelphia, PA.

She received her early education in Evanston, IL

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Sharis (Charles) Green, LaVeda Lockwood (Charles) Shauford, Seth Lockwood, 6 Grand Children, her favorite cousin Jamesina Jemison and a host of other relatives and friends.
