Dorothy M Hudson of Homewood, IL made her transition on March 12, 2022, after an extended illness. Dorothy was born on October 28,1936 in Atlanta, GA. to Freddie and Mary West. She was raised in Evanston, IL and graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1956.

Dorothy was baptized and confirmed at St. Andrews Church of Evanston. She was in the youth group, sang in the choir and was active in Sunday school. Dorothy worked at Community Hospital of Evanston, Jewel Foods, First Business School and the Private Industry Console.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Marletta (Robert) Knowles, son Demetric (Lateefa): two brothers Fred (Jarell) West; grandchildren Aaron Dunlop, Robert Hudson II, Robert Knowles, Randall Galbreath, Angelina (Robert) Tomow, Jason Knowles, Trevor Hudson, Brandye Hudson, great grandson Julian Tomow; a large number of nieces, nephews great nieces and nephews.

Preceded her in death are daughter JoAnn and son Desmond.
