Daphne Denise Patterson , 58, of Skokie Illinois, unexpectedly passed away at home Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born October 4, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Sylvester Pat terson and Reva P. Johnson-Patterson.

Daphne moved to Evanston, Illinois at the age of 5 and was a 1983 graduate of Evanston Town ship High School who later took classes at Truman City College of Chicago and later at Oakton College in Skokie, Illinois. She was interested in earning a degree in Computer Technology. She worked various jobs as a Service Clerk at Perfecto Dry Cleaners in Evanston, as a Supervisor at Mrs Prindables Gourmet Apples in Chicago, as a Store Clerk at World Gifts Beauty Supply for over 16 years in Chicago prior to working at the YMCA in Evanston for the past 2 years.

The most loving, generous, and free-spirited person, Daphne enjoyed music, walking, exploring nature and meditating. Above all, she enjoyed her family immediate and extended. On August 19, 1992, Daphne gave her life to Christ and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church, in Evanston, IL. She attended Sunday school and studied the Bible faithfully. Daphne later be came a member of Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

Daphne leaves to cherish her loving six brothers and sisters, Donnie Patterson-Blackwell of Florida, Carmelita Patterson of Illinois, Marilynn C. Patterson (Rufus Wright) of Georgia, Tyrone Patterson and Raymond Patterson both of North Dakota, and Dionne N. Patterson of Georgia. She also had one bonus brother/cousin, David D. Johnson of Illinois.
