Christine G. High was born on December 7, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to Annie Mae Gandy but was raised in Evanston, Illinois.
The love of her life, Herman High, preceded her in death along with her daughter, Kim Ann Jones, Clinton Dewitt Jones (Her daughter's father), her brother, William (Wimpy) Gandy, and her mother, Annie Mae Gandy.

Christine attended Evanston Schools, Noyes, and Haven and graduated from Evanston Township High School. Afterward, she attended nursing school and became a licensed practical Nurse. She worked for various hospitals and was a private duty nurse.

In addition, Christine was a jack of all trades; she cared for people and ran a cleaning business with her husband, Herman High "Peanut." Those who knew her knew she had an entrepreneurial spirit and loved spending time with her daughter; they were inseparable.

Christine departed this life on November 17, 2023, at the Citadel of Glenview. Christine is survived by her brother, Charles Gandy, in-law Joe and Gloria High, stepchildren Byron and Michael High, Jessie Stevens, and Jessica Delgado (whom she helped raise), and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
